The vision of Sufficiency of Scripture Ministries is the see Christ reigning through His Word in the hearts of all people. What does that mean? It means that SOS is about the mission of Jesus Christ. We are about building and strengthening God’s Church. We wholeheartedly believe that the Church is God’s means to impact the world communities and individual lives. It is for this reason SOS is laser focused on seeing God’s Church brought to hundreds of communities throughout Uganda, starting in its own headquarters of Kubamitwe.
Jesus’ great commission is clear, since I am the universal King of the universe (Matthew 28:18), MAKE FOLLOWERS (disciples)….by going, baptizing, and teaching them to observe all that Jesus has commanded (Matthew 28:19-20). At SOS, this commission is our mission. Our message is simple: “There is a King and His way is the best!” But how are we going to accomplish this mission throughout Uganda? Here is our 4 point plan: Model, Relate, Equip, and Plant.
Model: Create a model church that is exemplifying community impact which puts on display the gospel of the kingdom.
Relate: Create a relationship with the Baptist Union of Uganda and other churches that will rally pastors toward evangelical, sola-reformed principles, bible-driven passions.
Equip: Create a seminary that will effectively and holistically prepare pastors to effectively shepherd God’s Church.
Plant: Create a church planting strategy that launches and empowers STC equipped pastors to effectively reach their own communities with the gospel of the Kingdom.
We believe that this vision is about to be a reality. The stage is set. Now, we just need to faithfully execute the plan with the help of faithful supporters within our community and throughout Uganda.
