SOS PLAN AND PASSION

Mission

We are on mission daily to strengthen God’s Church in Uganda and to disciple the communities in and around Kubamitwe.

Vision

To see Christ reigning through His Word in the hearts of all people.

“Your eyes will see the King in His beauty. They will behold a far-distant land.” ~ Isaiah 33:17

SOS Core Values

Christ the King’s Supremacy

We submit to uphold and promote the supremacy of Jesus Christ as King and His Word as the supreme authority over all areas of our lives and ministry.

“All things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have supremacy.” ~ Colossians 1:16-18

Dependency on Him

We place full dependency upon the power of God’s Spirit, working through His Word to bring about ultimate change and impact in our lives and the lives of others.

We steward God’s resources faithfully and with accountability—through hard work, transparency and integrity—maximizing His kind provision, modeling conviction and encouraging living in a responsible, contented, generous and dignified manner.

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” ~ 2 Tim 3:16-17

Church-Focused

We are wholly focused on God’s local church as His primary means of spiritual growth.

“He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ.” ~Ephesians 4:11-12

Holiness

We are dedicated in our efforts to restore and reconcile one another to Christ, acknowledging the seduction and destruction of sin, and always carrying that burden together.

“Brothers, if someone is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual should restore such a person with a gentle spirit, watching out for yourselves so you also won’t be tempted. Carry one another’s burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” ~ Galatians 6:1

Discipleship

We are committed to fulfilling God’s commission—our responsibility—to love others, discipling them to follow faithfully after Jesus Christ.

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you.”

~ Matthew 28:19-20

Godly Leadership

We are committed to being First Timothy leaders: God-fearing, committed to our families,  faithful to Christ the King, and demonstrating upstanding character in our community.

“Therefore, brothers, select from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and wisdom, whom we can appoint to this duty.” ~ Acts 6:3

Faithful Stewardship

We steward God’s resources faithfully and with accountability—through hard work, transparency and integrity—maximizing His kind provision, modeling conviction and encouraging living in a responsible, contented, generous and dignified manner.

“A person should consider us in this way: as servants of Christ and managers of God’s mysteries. In this regard, it is expected of managers that each one of them be found faithful.” 1 Corinthians 4:1-2

Love and Unity

We strive to maintain a genuinely loving and unified environment, humbly and joyfully serving one another with affection, care, and kindness.

And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” Ephesians 4:32

Godward Living

We live with a heavenly mindset, unfailingly motivated out of a love for God, and a passion to do all things with excellence for His glory.

“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for God’s glory.”
1 Corinthians 10:31
