Your monthly support helps us nurture and train East Africans to lead and spread the truth of the Gospel of Christ.

In a culture hungry for strong, sincere Christian leadership, Shepherds Training College is how SOS Ministries feeds the East African people. Where men show a desire to pastor, Shepherds Training College exists to nurture and train them to lead and spread the truth of the Gospel of Christ the King.

The Impact of Shepherds Training College so far:

60 Degree students enrolled (continuously 90 by 2026)
120 Certificate students enrolled
Current Total: 180 students enrolled
Provisional License and Bachelor’s Degree accreditation awarded – Aug 2022
Certificate Program Accreditation achieved – May 2023
As of December 2024, 83 men have graduated from the Certificate level pastoral training program
Our goal is to graduate 60 men from our certificate program each year, and 30 men from our degree program.

In 2025 we anticipate graduating 50 men from the certificate program. 2026 will see our first class of degree students and their families complete their training with us. We pray that the Lord will use STC to better equip church leaders and their families so that they may lead their ministries with strong Biblical understanding and a deep relationship with Christ. The attention to discipling the families of the pastors trained in our school is intended to provide a strong witness to Christ when the family returns to their home area/sending church.

What does my sponsorship provide?

The funds raised for STC supplement program costs for men and their families in this residential training program, including housing, tuition, books, instructors, family stipends, and enrollment of their children in our on-site Legacy Christian Academy.

What happens when my pastor graduates?

Once an STC student graduates from the degree program, you will have the opportunity to redirect support to an incoming STC degree program student.

Can I write to my pastor?

At this time, we are not able to offer direct correspondence between pastors and sponsors. This policy helps us ensure the privacy, and consistency of communication for all involved. However, we are committed to keeping you connected and informed! Sponsors will receive general STC updates throughout the term, including news about ministry progress, community impact, and how your support is helping to advance God’s kingdom.
