One of the greatest values in Uganda is quality education. In the mind of the African community, education provides opportunity and the hope of a better future. The problem is, quality education costs money which is close to non-existent within rural village communities.
Enter Legacy Christian Academy (LCA)...
LCA is a Christ-centered, high quality, kindergarten and primary education. In American terms, this means that we offer education for kids from Kindergarten through 6th grade — an education that centers around the person, work, and truth of Jesus Christ, while pursuing high educational standards.
But the increase doesn't stop with the children; our teachers are continuing to grow spiritually and embrace the mission of SOS.
Now, 370 students are completing their second term of school!
Uganda's history has many dark and negative chapters. Unfortunately, the values that have made American society strong and positive are largely absent in Uganda.
Unlike in America, the family unit in Uganda is rare to find.
We are working hard to change that outcome. U ntil such a day, the education of Legacy Christian Academy will supplement the family by passionately and holistically developing the children of our community.
Would you pray for encouragement and spiritual strength in our teachers as they daily serve the children of LCA?
Would you also pray for Solomon, here in Uganda, as he continues to pour into the LCA ministry all the while grieving the sudden loss of his father?
